Gurney Journey was created to address the fear and anxiety children face when being transported to the operating room on a gurney. It's not just that the idea of surgery can be scary; patients must leave their caregivers behind on the trip from their hospital room to the OR.

To make this experience easier, we've created a MR experience where patients are pushed on a gurney through a doorway into a magical winter wonderland. Patients can see animals, the aurora borealis, space ships, and even a flying whale! Once the patient arrives at the operating room, they can go under anesthesia while using the application. This application is currently being studied for its efficacy as a digiceutical in a clinical trial with pediatric patients. This game can be played on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro or Meta Quest 3.
