Reality PAWS was created in collaboration with our Medical Dog team to better serve patients on isolation precautions. Each dog in the game is modeled after a real Medical Dog at Children's.
Patients can interact with the virtual dog in Reality PAWS in a number of ways. They can pet the dog, walk them, play fetch, dress them up, and more. The game can be played with hands or controllers, and is designed with a specific focus on accessibility for pediatric patients. Additionally, Reality PAWS has a multiplayer mode that allows patients to play with a family member or clinician. This game can be played on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro or Meta Quest 3. Details about usage can be found here.
This software was created by the CHCO Extended Reality Program (XRP), with support from Child's Play Charity.
